Maternity photos and why you should take them!
Pregnancy is a very beautiful and special time in your life. Not only does your body go through a transformation, it is hard at work building and housing your new beautiful baby for 9 months! Now while that might feel like an eternity, time really does fly by FAST. (Mom of 4 here!)
After 4 kiddos, I have learned that it is so important to document everything. Maternity photos are an important thing to take!! Having those memories of that journey you and your little one go through together is priceless, but also, one day they get to look back at their beginning and see mommy and what they looked like before being born. Plus every woman deserves to have beautiful photographs of them glowing while expecting! You put in that hard work, you deserve to look and feel like a Queen!!
As a Las Vegas maternity photographer, Studio of Vim photography strives to provide beautiful maternity gowns that are made specially for maternity photoshoot. Ever growing, we have different styles sizes and colors for you to choose from and will continue to add as time goes on! We even have a special program where if you buy a dress (or bodysuit) on our wish list, we will trade our services in exchange for the gown at the end of the photo session. (Effective Jan 2023!) This allows us to grow our client closet, and you only have to worry about showing up and looking fabulous.
When is the best time for taking maternity photos?
A very common question! In my experience, the best time for taking those very special maternity photos is between 30-34 weeks. Your belly is nice and round, but you aren’t feeling the fatigue and swell that happens usually towards the very end of your last trimester.
As a local Las Vegas Maternity Photographer, I know where some of the best locations for outdoor maternity photos are as well as offer in studio portraits for those too hot, too windy, or super chilly days depending on the time of year. Ultimately, I will help you choose the location that fits your style and comfort the most.
I’d also like to add, your husband or partner, and older children are welcome to join you in your maternity session as well. I tend to give a variety from family groups, husband and wife, and mom and older children together as well as just mom if we have a larger group attending.
